Guided wave inspection for pipeline integrity

Ensure the safety and reliability of your infrastructure with TECNA ICE’s guided wave inspection services.
// Why It Matters

Accessing buried pipelines shouldn’t cost a fortune

Pipeline integrity in buried, subsea, or remote environments demands a smarter approach. TECNA ICE addresses these challenges by using guided wave inspection to detect internal defects before they escalate—without dismantling or disturbing operations.

This advanced non-invasive technique provides high-precision assessment of buried or hard-to-reach pipelines, minimizing risk and maximizing operational uptime.

The frequency of inspection depends on the type of pipe, operating conditions and applicable regulations. Generally, it is recommended:

  • Transportation pipelines (gas and oil): Every 3 to 5 years, according to API 570.
  • Piping in process plants: According to the risk-based maintenance program (RBI – API 580 and API 581).
  • Critical or high-risk infrastructure: Every 1 to 3 years, depending on the level of corrosion and criticality of the asset.

Yes, provided conditions are stable. Guided waves can be applied on pipelines in service without stopping the operation.

Yes, like any Non Destructive Testing (NDT) equipment, the Eddify FOCUS+ must be calibrated periodically to ensure the accuracy of the measurements and the reliability of the data obtained.

This equipment incorporates Multi-Mode™ technology and torque modules, allowing for greater sensitivity in flaw detection and more accurate assessment of structural integrity in hard-to-reach pipelines.

The Eddify FOCUS+ is compatible with pipes from 4 “to 20” in diameter, allowing it to adapt to a variety of industrial applications.
