Frequently Asked Questions

Unlike traditional equipment with mechanical relays, TECNA uses solid-state technology. This ensures a clean, bounce-free shutdown, which is essential for obtaining accurate “Instant-Off” potential measurements in accordance with international standards. In addition, we offer a flexible architecture with Modular options for long service life and Compact options for maximum portability.

Yes. The TECNA interrupter is designed for full interoperability. Thanks to its switching delay compensation feature (adjustable from 0 to 100 ms) and start-up polarity settings, it can be perfectly synchronized with equipment from brands such as Kastel, Radiodetection, and Mc. Miller y American Innovations, among others.

Our interrupters are essential tools for the most critical pipe integrity inspections, including CIPS (Close Interval Potential Survey), DCVG (Direct Current Voltage Gradient), and current interference tests. Their high time resolution (up to 1 ms in modular models) ensures the simultaneity required for these techniques.

TECNA interrupters offer flexible power options to suit any grinding application. They support a range of 10 to 30 VDC or 8 to 20 VAC. In addition, the modular programming unit features an internal 1000 mAh lithium battery that allows the equipment to be configured in the office or in the field without being connected to a power source.

Yes. The equipment features an autonomous cycling system. In the event of a temporary loss of the satellite signal during operation, the clock—backed by a highly stable internal RTC—maintains the precise interruption sequence, ensuring that the corrosion study is not interrupted by geographical or weather-related obstacles.

We use GNSS modules compatible with five satellite constellations (GPS, BeiDou, Galileo, GLONASS, and QZSS). This provides a Pulse-per-Second (PPS) signal accuracy of 30 ns RMS and a positioning accuracy of up to 2 meters, ensuring that multiple switches operate in unison along long stretches of pipelines.

Absolutely. The electronic components are protected by IP67-rated polypropylene enclosures, making them completely dustproof and resistant to temporary immersion in water. In addition, they operate within a temperature range of -20°C to 80°C and are equipped with internal thermal sensors that shut down the load if safety limits are exceeded.. Tests have shown that it can operate at ambient temperatures of up to 35°C without a fan and up to 50°C with a fan.

TECNA ICE offers a variety of options to suit the scale of your project. You can purchase the complete system (Modular or Compact) or individual components as replacement parts. In addition, the equipment includes a password-protected Rental/License Mode feature, allowing for flexible management of technological assets based on the duration of the inspection.
