Service Description

When DC current interference that threatens the integrity of a pipeline is identified, the response must be immediate and technical. TECNA ICE’s DC Mitigation System Installation and Commissioning service completes the protection cycle: once the system is designed, our team of specialists installs drainage stations, polarization cells, and specialized grounding systems. This process ensures that interference is safely removed from the asset in a controlled manner, eliminating the current leakage points that cause accelerated corrosion.

Scope of Work

Installation of galvanic and forced drainage stations.
Installation of blocking diodes and control panels.
Installation of high-efficiency sacrificial anodes.
Welded connection and sealing of drain points.

Commissioning

Balancing Drainage Flows in the Field.
Post-installation interference tests (ON/OFF).
Verification of the polarization of the CP system.
Submission of the technical dossier and as-built drawings.

Methodology and Traceability

At TECNA ICE, installation is not an isolated process. We apply a methodology of continuous validation: during the commissioning phase, we measure the actual impact of the mitigation system against the source of interference (substations, mines, or industrial plants). We perform resistance and balancing adjustments to ensure that interference is mitigated without “over-protecting” or depleting the pipeline’s cathodic protection, thereby guaranteeing technical traceability that supports the asset’s long-term integrity.
