Service Description

When electromagnetic interference exceeding safety thresholds is identified (such as 15 V AC under normal conditions according to NACE SP0177), it is imperative to implement mitigation systems. TECNA ICE’s AC Mitigation System Installation and Commissioning service ranges from engineering design based on modeling to the physical construction of grounding networks and the installation of decoupling devices. Our goal is to dissipate induced currents in a controlled manner, protecting both the integrity of the steel and the safety of operators.

Methodology and Traceability

During construction, we ensure low contact resistance of the electrodes and the correct configuration of the decoupling devices so that they block DC current (while preserving cathodic protection) and drain AC current. Commissioning concludes with field measurements that confirm the reduction of risk to acceptable levels, delivering a fully operational and traceable system.
